Richmond Carers Centre

Offers information, advice and support including carers rights, support services in place locally for carers and signposting to other agencies/ organisations.  They offer services to adults and young carers.
Young carers - Children and young people under the age of 18 who are taking on practical and/or emotional caring responsibilities normally expected of an adult, such as cooking, shopping and housework, administering medication, assisting with personal care, interpreting, physical support such as lifting and even emotional support or looking after younger siblings. For these children and young people the Carers centre offers:

  • A Young Carers information, advice and support service
  • Regular & ad-hoc groups including social groups for different age groups
  • A school holiday programme during half terms and school holidays. Activities include workshops, day trips, sports, creative and outdoor pursuits
